Ayoub El Kaabi is a professional football player from Morocco who was born on June 26, 1993. He plays as a forward for FC Basel and the Morocco national team. El Kaabi is known for his remarkable performances during the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in which he scored nine goals in five games, helping Morocco to win the championship. He was named the player of the tournament and he holds the record for the most goals scored in a single CHAN tournament. El Kaabi began his professional football career with Racing De Casablanca before joining Renaissance Berkane in 2016. He has also played for Chinese club Hebei China Fortune and Wydad AC in Morocco.
